Each class has a well designed morning rhythm to
support the child’s natural breathing . After each
outward breathing activity, (e.g. creative play,
outside time, circle) is an inward breathing
activity, (e.g. snack, rest, story). For the child
the curriculum provides the school experience as an
intermediate step between home and formal
schooling. Our goal is to provide a, calm, safe,
nurturing environment in which the imagination,
creativity and growth of the child will flourish.
The 3 R’s are Reverence, Repetition and rhythm. We
promote reverence toward nature, our toys, and
classroom space and in our relationships with our
playmates and teachers. As young children learn and
grow through doing and imitation, we work a lot
with repetition, so the children can feel confident
in knowing what is expected of them. The foundation
of a secure and calm program is the daily, weekly,
monthly and yearly rhythm. The young child knows
and feels what is coming next, and gentle, regular
transitions benefit us all.
