A NEW afternoon program for toddlers (ages 1 to 3 years old) designed for the needs of a mixed age group, as with siblings, in a loving, healthy home-like environment. The curriculum focuses on the domestic arts, such as cleaning, gardening, self-care through dressing, potty training and social interactions with others by nurturing themselves, each other and the Earth.
We provide a healthy breathing rhythm that starts with a rest/quiet time, in case they still need that early afternoon nap, then balance that with artistic activities, motor movement, healthy nourishment and TLC.
Learning takes place through imitation and example rather than through instruction, and we recognize the importance of play for healthy development and the natural expression of the young child’s imagination. In the course of their play, their growth in all areas is stimulated – physically, emotionally, socially, mentally and spiritually.
The Duckling class is for toddlers with the option of two, three, four, or five days a week. The class runs from 1:30 - 5:30 p.m. and includes two healthy snacks.
