A Waldorf-inspired program for toddlers (for ages 1 to 2 years old) designed to honor the needs of the young child to find security in the loving, healthy home-like environment. The curriculum focuses on the domestic arts, such as cleaning, gardening, self-care through dressing and potting and care for others through nurturing themselves, each other and the Earth.
We provide the toddlers with the consistency and routine they crave through a day filled with a balance of activities and rest. Learning takes place through imitation and example rather than through instruction and we recognize the importance of play for healthy development and the natural expression of the young child’s imagination. In the course of their play, their growth in all areas is stimulated – physically, emotionally, socially, mentally and spiritually.
The Daisies class is for toddlers with the option of two, three, four, or five days a week. The class runs from 9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. and includes a healthy snack.
